DEAF + DUMB + DONE

seven october
eleven : oh-one a.m.

we set out at sunset, in search of the park. the houses that lined the streets had no curtains, and the fireplaces and bookshelves inside them seemed welcoming.

the monument stretched towards the orange streaks in the sky. we clambered over the marble steps towards a small footpath.

running through the woods in the dark, tripping, laughing, emerging right by the train tracks.

"i wish a train would come. i don't know why they are so fascinating to me, but i love them."

we waited, but none came. disappointed, we found our way back through the woods, and sat on the stairs. thats when i heard it.

sprinting back through the woods, holding onto each others jackets, standing right next to the tracks. the single white headlight came racing towards us. we laughed, felt the wind, backed up, laughed.

fantastic.
